Upgrading the Gear Tier is possible once all 6 gear slots have been equipped. Once all 6 slots have been equipped, a button will appear indicating that the Gear Tier can be upgraded. This process does not require any items or currencies. There will be a Gear Tier maximum, which is 15. Upon reaching the maximum, no new gear can be equipped to the character.
